Over the course of the last 25 years, executive coaching has evolved from being called executive retainers, management retainers, executive support, Counsel to the President, and Consultant-on-Call. Regardless of what it is called, the fact of the matter is that Executive Coaching has been around since the beginning of time. Executives need an outside, hopefully, independent individual that does not buckle amidst the trappings of executive leaders, that can provide insight to flat sides of performance and sharpen the well-honed perceptions to see land mines that aren’t being considered.
In the pages that follow, there is a description of the forms of executive coaching that CCG, Inc. provides. Our executive coaching is listed under the informal title of Pardners, which implies the seriousness by which we approach our work—up close and very personal. Our approach connotes a tenet to our focus on the bottom line of coaching—to support each client to discover ways to increase their awareness, capacity, and performance.
We offer three forms of executive coaching. Executive Pardners—a developmental approach to fill out the flat sides so a key executive can reach his or her full potential in a present position or in preparation for a future position. Thinking Pardners—a visionary approach to support an executive that is seeking to expand his awareness of the horizons or that has been charged with a major project or a CEO that is seeking a container to envision the future direction of the organization. Diversity Pardners—a global approach to the changing world. Diversity and cultural competence are soon to become a core competency for leaders. In the United States alone, the melting pot has become a mixed salad and cultural competence is critical to success.
I, personally, thank you for taking the time to read about our time tested ways of coaching and look forward to working personally with your organization.
Sincerely,
Herb Stevenson

In
today’s fast paced world, executives are being driven for more performance. “Nothing
new,” you might say. Yet, everything about how you are being driven
towards performance is new. As an executive, whether it is as a future
or existing CEO, everyone with
an ounce of awareness is cognizant of the need to push the absolute cutting-edge
of competence while tempering the degree of razor-edge confidence to avoid
the CEO Disease of falling victim to your own success.

Senior Executives carry the burden and the blessing of
being the visionary force of the organization. The
burden is that the vision must be sharp enough to
steer the organization and exciting enough to
command personal commitment from every employee.
The blessing of being the visionary force is that you
become one of the
few people that
gets to create the
future for the
organization and
every one of it’s
stakeholders—share holders,
employees,
customers,
suppliers, and
impacted
persons—and be
responsible for it.

Coaching has been growing in leaps and bounds for the last decade. As
reported in Fortune
Magazine in 2000, “coaches are everywhere” and the number are
growing exponentially. The
International Coaching Federation (ICF) estimated that there were 10,000
practicing coaches
in February of 2000 (Fortune, 2/2000) and reported 20,000 in July of
2001 (BusinessWeek,
7/2001). Most recent estimates are that there is more than 50,000 individuals
actively
pursuing a coaching career.

Diversity Pardner supports CEOs and senior executives to explore their learning edge by examining both their cutting edge in business success and their flat-side surrounding cultural competence, inclusivity, and diversity management.
Diversity Coaching increases the effectiveness of individuals and therefore the organization. Stretched to the limit in terms of using what is known and has worked in the past, the executive finds him or her self unable to meet the growing demands of social responsibility becoming strategic initiatives. Diversity Coaching creates an up close and personal learning container that supports the individual to expand the possibilities to meet the daily challenges.
